Embrace the Spirit of Generosity with “Tickets Sospeso” at TEDxFolsom May 20, 2024 In the early 20th century, a beautiful tradition emerged in Naples known as “caffe sospeso” or “suspended coffee.” Patrons would pay for two coffees but only consume one, leaving the second for someone in need. This act of kindness ensured that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, could enjoy a warm cup of coffee. Inspired by this tradition, TEDxFolsom is introducing “Tickets Sospeso” for our upcoming event on June 22, 2024. We believe that access to knowledge and inspiration should be available to everyone, and you can help make this possible. Imagine the impact of your generosity: Single Moms: Give a hardworking single mom a day of inspiration and new perspectives. Students: Help a student striving for academic excellence experience transformative ideas. Bar Exam Candidates: Provide future lawyers with a break from their intense studies to recharge and gain fresh insights. Job Seekers: Offer someone who has lost their job a chance to be motivated and network with innovators and leaders. Caregivers: Give those who dedicate their lives to caring for others a day to focus on their own growth and well-being. Veterans: Help a veteran gain new perspectives and reintegrate into civilian life with fresh, inspiring ideas. Artists and Creatives: Support local artists who may not have the financial means to attend but can benefit immensely from the inspiration and networking opportunities. Teachers: Recognize the hard work of educators by giving them a chance to learn and be inspired by new ideas. Nurses: Show appreciation for our healthcare heroes by providing them a day of enrichment and relaxation. First Responders: Honor those who keep us safe by allowing them to recharge and gain fresh perspectives. Baristas: Offer those who serve us daily a unique opportunity to be inspired and appreciated.
